EPE has earned the Public Transparency National Program (PNTP) Diamond Seal for active transparency — that is, for making available, on this website, information required by Brazilian legislation, especially the Fiscal Responsibility Law (LRF) and the Access to Information Law (LAI).
This initiative by the Rio de Janeiro State Government has recognized EPE for our consistent practices and evident commitment to guaranteeing gender equity on every level of the organization, creating inclusive, fair and safe spaces for all women.
2024
The SDG Certification Program awards Brazilian organizations that develop important initiatives to satisfy the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda. By publicizing our social and environmental responsibility and corporate governance practices, the Energy Research Office (EPE) has demonstrated alignment with the Good Healh and Well-Being and Quality Education SDGs, with projects such as “EPE Vida” and “ABCDEnergia”.
2026
The Compliance Indicator (IC-Sest) is a tool that enables the federal government to assess compliance with legal requirements and the quality of information provided by federal state-owned enterprises. The 100% score assigned by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) reflects the Energy Research Office’s commitment to transparency and corporate governance best practices.
The Gender and Race Pro-Equity Seal recognizes organizations that adopt management practices aimed at promoting gender equality in the workplace, advancing racial equity, and strengthening citizenship. EPE’s participation in the program involved awareness-raising campaigns, governance initiatives, internal communication efforts, institutional development actions, and the enhancement of inclusion policies.
